Anyone who gets to know Herbert Schreib meets an open minded, approachable, sympathetic Austrian. And that is no coincidence. After all, who can claim to have landed in the USA within a few weeks thanks to a long night in a bar as a student, to have worked in his dream job as a student there and to have laid the foundation for his further professional development with this adventure?

Even when Herbert Schreib was choosing a place to study German and Sports Science, it was clear to the passionate whitewater athlete that it had to be a university with challenging rivers nearby. So it became Salzburg, where he took the educational path of a teacher. At that time, he was not aware that he would never practice this profession – at least not in an institution like a school.

What was certain for him, however, even then, was that he would spend his life empowering people.

As a young student, Herbert followed the lure from the USA into an adventure of a special kind, with wild rafting trips, exciting kayak tours – including a 21-day tour through the Grand Canyon – and his first experiences as a coach for teams from companies.

Back in Europe, he helped building up two rafting companies, became Vice World Champion in rafting with a team he put together, and began applying his passion as a trainer and coach in the business environment.

Now he has been a successful Business Coach, Advisor and Trainer and Speaker for more than 25 years. He knows that it’s only when you step outside the box that you really find out what lies within you. It is not unusual for him to hike up a mountain in the early morning before breakfast as part of a workshop and to invite people to complete silence at the summit. At such moments, the teams benefit from his many years of experience and involvement with mindfulness and the findings of modern neuroscience. This is one of his ways to show his participants how to deepen mental strength and emotional robustness.

His ambition to actively surf the waves of change is also evident in his use of modern concepts and methods. For example, his training courses for developing Personal Mastery and Resilience are of course also available online (currently only in German), and his innovative online workshops inspire management teams, some of which are spread around the globe.

As part of all his initiatives, it is possible to enrich them with online sessions, short videos and audio files. His membership of the Academy for Neuroscientific Educational Counseling is a helpful support for this. With his innovative workshops and programs, he inspires management teams, some of whom are based around the globe.

One thing runs through all of his programs and projects: Empowering people. So that they can make good decisions in turbulent times and navigate safely through wild currents together with their teams and their company.

Together with his wife, Herbert Schreib lives in Abtenau in the province of Salzburg and is the proud father of two grown-up children.
